Summer is here and it’s time to cram everything you own in a tiny suitcase, dig out your moth-eaten swimsuits and herd your family, whinging and shrieking, off on your summer holiday! However, if you are slightly less organised, you may not have booked your holiday quite yet, and are frantically scrolling through hundreds of last-minute deals, unsure of which one to choose. So, to help you out a bit, here are a few family friendly destinations we think you’ll love…

Majorca

Majorca (or any of the beautiful Balearic islands) is the perfect family destination. The island is easy to get to (generally about a 2.5 hour flight) and has stunning scenery, including breath-taking beaches.

Majorca is well known for its all-inclusive hotels which offer a cheaper way to take a family holiday. All-inclusive is exactly what it sounds like, everything (including alcohol) is included. But what really gives a good all-inclusive the thumbs up are the kids clubs, which can keep your children entertained (and you sunbathing) for hours.

France

Plus, your journey can all be done in your car, allowing you even more packing space!

Florida

For a holiday destination a bit further afield, then Florida really is a great choice. It is packed to the brim with theme parks including Disney World, Universal Studios and Dinosaur World, which your children will love.

And once you have overdosed on parks, there are loads of beautiful, sandy beaches for you to relax and recharge your batteries.

UK

If the idea of travelling overseas fills you with dread, then look a bit closer to home. The UK has plenty of gorgeous holiday destinations to enjoy, and even better, there is no time difference so no early rising children to battle with!

Edinburgh is a popular destination, especially during the festival season in August, which sees hundreds of plays put on around the city, including lots of entertainment for children.

Or spend a week enjoying the UK’s capital, visiting top tourist destinations like The London Eye, The Tower of London or one of the many free museums on offer.

If you still crave a beach-based holiday then the UK has lots to choose from, including Weymouth (Weymouth Beach was voted number one in the UK by TripAdvisor and ninth in a ranking of Europe's top 10), the pebbly but perfect Whitstable and the surfers paradise of Newquay.
